What we carry down
- Boxes and bins: holiday decor, keepsakes, files — sorted at the curb so you can pull keepers before the truck leaves.
- Furniture: dressers, chairs, mattresses, bed frames — disassembled at the hatch when it won't fit through.
- Building materials: leftover lumber, drywall, flooring, and renovation debris the remodeler left behind.
- What stays: intact insulation and anything you flag as keepers. Insulation work is an adder we quote separately.
Why attics aren't garage jobs
A garage cleanout is ground-level: open the door, walk the load out. An attic cleanout is a ladder-and-hatch job: every item comes down pull-down stairs or a ceiling hatch by hand, through dust and fiberglass, with furniture broken down to fit the opening. It's slower per cubic foot than any ground-level cleanout — that's why it prices as a job, not a truckload, and why the carrying labor is the line item to compare when you get quotes.
Asbestos & vermiculite: licensed abatement only
Older OC homes sometimes hold vermiculite or asbestos-containing insulation. If we suspect it, we stop work and refer you to a licensed asbestos abatement contractor — we do not disturb it, and no unlicensed crew should. Once abatement is complete, we finish the cleanout. This is a referral, not a service we perform.
Donation-first, swept finish
Usable furniture and goods go to donation partners, recyclables to certified facilities, and the rest is hauled. We sweep the hatch area and stairs on the way out. Most attics clear same-day or next-day across Santa Ana and Orange County.
